Data Vista recognizes the importance of being a good corporate citizen. As such, we have developed practices that comply with both our customers’ and industry requirements to support our dedication to corporate citizenship. These practices include the following principles:

  • Sustainability:
    Being environmentally responsible with regards to  energy conservation and waste management, being “green,” or working with suppliers that strive to be environmentally responsible
  • Health and Safety:
    Providing a safe and healthy workplace while following applicable OSHA regulations
  • Labor:
    Adhering to applicable wages, working hours, non-discriminatory hiring, and child labor laws.
  • Respect and Dignity:
    Enforcement of a zero tolerance for physical coercion or harassment.
  • Diversity programs:
    Support of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE,) Woman Business Enterprises (WBE), and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBE) by committing a percentage of our annual spending with such vendors.
  • Community Outreach Programs:
    Data Vista offer electronics recycling and data destruction services to the NJ county here we are headquartered. Local residents or businesses can bring their electronics items to Data Vista for disposal. We also issue a certificate of recycling to those individuals or business.

Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Code of Conduct (EICC)

Data Vista follows the code of conduct for the electronics industry, known as the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Code of Conduct (EICC). Many of our large corporate customers recognize this code and have similar codes of conduct. If EICC doesn’t apply to your industry, Data Vista will address the concerns of your organization and vertical market.

14001 Certification

Data Vista’s ISO 14001 certification addresses various aspects of environmental management. It provides practical tools for companies and organizations looking to identify and control their environmental impact while constantly improving their environmental performance.

Responsible Recycling Practices (R2):2013

Data Vista R2 certification attests to our commitment to the following environmental policies:

  • Reduction of environmental and human health impacts from improper recycling.
  • Increased access to quality reusable and refurbished equipment to those people and organizations that need them.
  • Reduction of energy use and other environmental impacts associated with mining and processing of virgin materials.

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection

Data Vista is registered with NJ DEP as a Large Quantity Universal Waste Handler (EPA# NJR986624401) and complies with NJAC 7:26A-7.5 & NJSA 13:1E-99.94 regulations.

Institute of Asset Management (IAM)

The IAM is the professional body for those involved in acquisition, operation and care of physical assets – especially critical infrastructure. In particular, the Institute is for professionals worldwide who are dedicated to furthering their knowledge and understanding of Asset Management.


Information Systems and Audit Control Association (ISACA) 

ISACA provides practical guidance, benchmarks and other effective tools for its members servicing all enterprises that use information systems. Through its comprehensive guidance and services, ISACA defines the roles of information systems governance, security, audit and assurance professionals worldwide. Advocating governance frameworks such as e COBIT, Val IT and Risk IT as well as issuing certifications for CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC designations, ISACA brands are respected and used by IT professionals for the benefit of their enterprises.


InfraGard

Data Vista participates in InfraGard, a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States.

Association of Service and Computer Dealers International and North American Association of Telecommunications Dealers (ASCDI/NASTD)

Data Vista is a member of both the Association of Service and Computer Dealers International and the North American Association of Telecommunications Dealers. Made up of companies that provide technology business solutions, technical support and value-added services to the business community, ASCDI/NASTD was formed to uphold the ethics and integrity of firms in the technology industry.
